Finances
The College’s financial condition is sound. JWCC began FY 07 with a balanced budget and ended it with a surplus ($12,900,351 in revenues offset by $12,900,095 in expenditures). The College is supported by a combination of student tuition and fees, local property taxes, funding from the State of Illinois, and other forms of revenue.
In addition to the operating budget, the College received more than $3.9 million in grant funding in FY 07, including over $3 million in Federal dollars in support of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, financial aid, and TRIO student assistance programs.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees at JWCC are among the lowest in the area. A complete financial aid program that includes scholarships, loans, grants and work-study opportunities is available for students who qualify.
