What is a licensed practical nurse (LPN)?
Delivering direct nursing care in a variety of settings to patients with a wide array of health care issues. Responsibilities include implementing a plan of care for patients including administering medications and treatments; performing skilled technical procedures and providing direct nursing care.
The LPN works under the supervision of registered nurses, physicians, dentists or podiatrists.
