communicate electronically. All students attending JWCC are provided an email address that they can access from any
computer with an internet connection.

I can't remember my username/password for Email and/or SOLAR!
If you have forgotten your SOLAR password, you can reset it yourself. There is a "Forgot your PIN?" link right under the SOLAR login button. Enter your user id in the field and press the "Forgot PIN?" button. You will be asked to answer the security question you chose when you set up your account. Upon answering it correctly, you will be able to choose a new PIN and enter SOLAR.
If you have forgotten your Email password, or cannot reset your SOLAR PIN on your own, you must bring a photo ID to the Information Services office in room B024 at the Main Campus during business hours (8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays).
Students at Pittsfield or Perry campuses can ask to have their PIN reset at those campuses, and online students should contact the Online Course Coordinator in order to have their PIN reset.
You can view the complete Computer Account Reset Policy here.
I can't send\receive emails. It says mailbox is full!
Students at John Wood Community College have a 10MB limit on their mailbox. This includes, but not limited to the following folders: inbox, sent items, and deleted items. The best way to clean up your mailbox is to login to any computer on campus and open Outlook. From there, you can easily delete multiple emails. You will also want to empty the deleted items folder every so often. If you need assistance, please stop by the Help Desk.
