ALAN C. STEIGELMAN began his position of Vice
President for Finance and Business Services of John Wood Community College on August 4, 1997. Prior
to his position at JWCC, Alan served as Dean of Finance/Administrative
Services at Metropolitan Community College in East St. Louis. His previous
employment included Controller/Chief Accountant of TGL, INC.; Manager, of
Systems and Procedures; and Manager, of Student Accounting Services of
Washington University. He did consulting as a Management Engineer and
Project Manager for Bell & Company & Scheduling Corporation of
America and was Controller and part owner of HBH Sales. Mr. Steigelman
held positions as a Budget Analyst, Accounting Supervisor, and Manager of
Financial Planning for Anheuser-Busch and was an Accounting Supervisor for
McDonnell-Douglas Automation Company. Mr. Steigelman holds a master’s
degree with emphasis on management science and data base management from
Southern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
