John Wood Community College realizes that employees are our greatest resource. Therefore, we have a system that encourages, supports, and recognizes those in our employ who promote a positive image for our organization, who exercise our core values, and who are totally committed to growth and prosperity for our students and the community. Accordingly, we will recognize and reward our most dedicated and effective faculty and staff in an effort to set a high standard of education and work ethic and to boost the morale and self-esteem of employees by providing for some of their most basic needs, for example, the need for self-respect, self-esteem, achievement, and respect from others. We promote participatory actions that include the entire college in the nomination and selection of such individuals.
