CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAMS

®

All JWCC students, staff, faculty, and visitors are primarily responsible for their own safety and security and should make every effort to make their surroundings as safe and secure as possible.  Several links relating to crime prevention are available on the Campus Police Department web site.

The Campus Police Department offers selected crime prevention courses to students and employees. Crime Prevention training is provided to all new employees at the time they are hired and to all new students during orientation in the Student Handbook.

The Campus Police Department, is a member of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the Illinois Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (ICLEA) and through the support of these organizations and members of the local community the Campus Police Department is able to design and implement crime prevention programs.  For specific information on crime prevention programs, contact Campus Police (x4291).

The Campus Police Department maintains a certified instructor in Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) and will offer classes to both students, employees, and community members.
