To ensure
a safe and secure campus environment, all JWCC students and
employees are encouraged and expected to report any and all
suspected criminal activity or emergencies.
To report suspected criminal activity and emergencies, call the
Campus Police Department (0 or
224-6500). If the report requires an emergency response from local police,
fire, E.M.S., or other emergency services, students should also call
911. Emergency phones are placed conveniently in several locations
around the campus exterior.
Non-emergencies should also be reported using these same phone numbers.
Silent Witness
Students and employees also have the option of making
a confidential report of a crime by using the Campus Police Silent Witness program via the
Campus Police website. The Silent Witness program is not intended for
in-progress crimes and emergencies.
Hours of Operation
The Campus Police Department has a police or security officer on-duty 6:00 am - 10:00 pm Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am - 7:00 pm
Friday, and
7:00 am - 4:00 pm Saturday.
The Campus Police Department will respond promptly to
any and all reports of criminal activity and emergencies. Actual
response time may be affected by several factors including the number of
officers on duty and their involvement in other criminal activities or
emergencies at the time of the report. Police and security officers are trained to
prioritize reports based on emergency potential. The Campus Police
Department will
investigate all reported incidents, even in those cases when no
criminal activity is detected and criminal prosecution is not
anticipated.
