An excerpt from a note that Dr. Simpson, the President sent to the college community on February 13th:

[The consultant-evaluators from the NCA's Higher Learning Commission] were impressed with the thorough planning and preparation for the visit, and found that the College is progressing properly in establishing an assessment system of student learning.  They will advise the HLC that no additional follow-up will be necessary until the next comprehensive visit in 2013.  They also strongly urge the College to continue to incorporate the assessment system into the regular evaluation of curriculum, and not to let the current momentum cease or slow down.  All of us can be pleased with the recommendation.  ....  We must wait until the HLC accepts the recommendation of the visiting team before it is final, but normally there is nothing to prevent with this from happening.
