When will I receive my child’s class schedule?
Class schedules will be mailed a week prior to the student’s class start date. No late registration will be accepted one week prior to the class start date.
What should I do if my child is going to be absent?

What happens if my child becomes ill?
You will be notified to pick up your child if he/she becomes ill.  If you cannot be reached, the person listed as the emergency contact will be called.  In the event of an injury, serious illness, or other medical emergency, 911 will be called and Campus Police will be notified immediately.
What is the behavior policy?
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates courtesy and respect for others and facilitates learning.  Disruptive students will be dismissed from the program without a refund and the parents will be contacted to pick up the child.
What happens if my child's class is cancelled?
Classes that do not meet a minimum enrollment of six students will be cancelled and your child will automatically be put into his/her second or third choices depending upon availability.  If there is no other option or class available, a refund will be given for the cancelled class.
What if my child needs to drop?
Requests for full refunds must be made at least one week prior to classes beginning. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance.
Is financial assistance available?
A limited amount of scholarships are available based on financial need.  Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis up to a maximum of $110 per child for those who qualify.  Those applying for a scholarship must complete a scholarship application, provide most recent income tax return and bring a completed registration form to the Community Education Office for verification.  Any class costs exceeding the allotted scholarship amount must be paid at the time of registration.  Call 217.641.4905 for more information.
What are the drop-off/pick-up procedures?
Children should be dropped off & picked up in front of the Paul Heath Community Education & Fine Arts Center ONLY.  Look for the two Children’s College banners that indicate the pickup lane.  Children may not be dropped off earlier than 10 minutes before their first class and must be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their last class. Those who prefer not to wait in the pick-up lane must park and walk to the sidewalk to escort children to the car.  Children are not allowed to leave the sidewalk without an adult!
