The purpose of the contest is to encourage photographers to create new works, so all entries must have been created within the past 12 months.

Entry Forms

Tips for a Successful Entry

It is highly recommended that photographs do not display the date. Judges usually count off when dates are on the photos. You may be able to remove the date using Adobe Photoshop or similar photo editing software. All cameras have a setting on them that allows you to turn off the day/time display function.

Plexiglas is preferred. JWCC will not be held responsible for shattered or damaged glass. Strings, sawtooth, or plate hangers will NOT be accepted. Maximum entry size is 24” x 36”.

.

Right of Refusal

John Wood Community College reserves the right to refuse potentially offensive works. Due to space limitations, we reserve the right to display only winning photographs. All attempts will be made to hang as many entries as possible.

Publicity Photos

Some photos of entries may be used by John Wood Community College for promotional purposes, including postings on JWCC’s website, www.jwcc.edu, with the permission of the photographer. Entrants must sign the photo release portion of the entry form at the time of entry.

Photos of award-winning entrants may also be taken during the Awards Reception and used for publicity. A separate model release form must be signed by the entrant for the college to use these for publicity.
