John Wood Presents
You may know them as the young men who placed second in the 2006 season of America's Got Talent, but the Miller family is so much more!
This blues-playing family from Lafayette, Indiana consists of 3 brothers (Clayton on guitar & vocals, age 25, Cole on drums & vocals, age 21, and L.D. age 14 on harmonica & vocals) and Dad, Larry, who joins on bass occasionally. The Millers have opened for or shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, John Popper of Blues Traveller, Alicia Keys, India Arie, Keb Mo, Kanye West, Jamie Fox, Joe Bonamassa, Ziggy Marley, Joss Stone, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mississippi Heat, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, James Cotton, Walter Trout, Ricky Skaggs, more.
L.D. played for 22,000 fans at the Forum at Stevie Wonder's House of Toys. He was the only standing ovation of the evening (and that evening included a Stevie Wonder/Alicia Keys duet). But while audiences are amazed by the novelty of a band that consists of 3 young brothers, they come away captivated by musical chops that any musician of any age would be proud of. Clayton's guitar playing has been compared to the early genius of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan and his vocal maturity is well beyond his years. Cole's drumsticks are a natural extension of him and his vocals are already developing an old blues man's power and passion. LD has been called the world's greatest living harmonica player at just age 14 by both media and major artists.

This 18-year old New Orleans-based singer, songwriter, fiddler and actress is part of a new breed of young, roots-based musicians who have embraced both traditional and pop sounds. She is an annual favorite at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, drawing some of the largest crowds of the festival. A classically trained violinist, Shaw started her musical journey at age 3 when she heard an orchestra on TV and decided she wanted to try her hand at the instrument. At age 7, Shaw was the youngest musician to ever play a solo with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. She still holds that distinction. Later, at only 12 years old, she opened for Charlie Daniels.
Amanda is now the fresh face for New Orleans' preservation of the wetlands and played a predominant role in the IMAX film "Hurricane on the Bayou." Amanda travels with her band, "The Cute Guys" and experienced firsthand the devastation after hurricane Katrina. Amanda has also starred in two Disney films and is now a spokesperson for Louisiana's Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism appearing in national magazine ads on behalf of her home state.
