The ancient process creates sculptures out of clay to glaze then fire outside. During week one, create at least one or two sculptures. During week two, sculptures will be glazed. Fern Hill sells a wide variety of architectural antiques as well as the finest in home decor, gifting and fabric. Fern Hill has a collection of outstanding, locally made quilts, some with their very own Fern Hill fabric, as well as a wide collection of antique quilts, some dating from the 1800’s. There are 3,500 bolts of fabric in Fern Hill’s magnificent fabric loft where they select only the finest quilting fabrics from superior companies. They even have their very own original fabric line created by Stephanie Brandenburg. On Thursday, at the American Quilter’s Society (AQS) Quilt Show, you will enjoy a variety of quilts, quilting classes, and quilting events including 1,000 beautiful quilts in the quilt exhibits, 300 vendor booths featuring the latest in quiltmaking supplies, gifts, antiques, new quilts, workshops and lectures in the AQS School of Quiltmaking where you can learn something new. Also, don’t miss the fun special events with Eleanor Burns, Joe Cunningham and Jim Shore! This trip will depart Wednesday, October 6 and return on Friday, October 8. The 10-block, 200-year-old Historic Main Street is Missouri's first and largest historic district. It lies closest to the Missouri River and Saint Charles' frontier history.
