JWCC Welcomes Home (Private) Schoolers!

INFORMATION
Online Learning
The skills, talents, and mindset that make successful home schooled students are the same that make a successful online student:
Time Management Skills-- online classes are not quick and easy. They often require just as much time or more than a conventional classroom. They ARE more convenient! Log in when you want to or need to each week... but you MUST log in.
Initiative and Assertiveness- this is your education! You will need to schedule your school work around other work, social, and family obligations. When something is not working- you are usually the first one who knows it.
Self Discipline and the ability to learn without needing regular face to face lectures
Written Communication Skills- most of the interaction you share with your instructors and classmates will be written. You should have effective written skills to take the best advantage of online learning.
Internet Access - As a home schooler, you may already realize the value and power of having a high speed connection to the World Wide Web. You will need reliable, regular access to the Web to fully participate in your online classes.
