The Agriculture Club has its primary objectives: leadership, public relations, and recreation. The club's major activities include an annual spring banquet, participation in state and national ag competitions, and attendance at several major ag-related shows and exhibitions. Any JWCC student interested in agriculture is welcome to join the Agriculture Club.
NPAS Results
The National Postsecondary Agricultural Student (NPAS) Organization as well as the Illinois Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization are both educational and competitive at JWCC.

In 1999, students traveled to Joplin, MO to the 25th annual NPAS convention. There, the JWCC College Bowl Team advance to the finals and won 2nd place team in the nation. Also, JWCC Swine specialty teams 1 and 2 placed second and third and the beef team was third in the nation. Besides team competition, there were several individual award areas represented, such as career progress, public speaking and more.

SGA Elections
The JWCC Ag Students are very involved in the Student Government Association. Agriculture students have been involved in SGA since the SGA was formed. Many have been officers. Further, about two thirds of the JWCC Board of Trustees Student Trustees have been agriculture students.
Ag Club Activities
The Ag Club offers several activities for the students.
These include Bowling, Basketball games at the local gym, volleyball games, Bar-B-Que
Cookouts and many more fun and exciting activities.
Meeting Schedule
The Ag Club has a meeting every month where the students can plan activities, fund
raisers, upcoming contests, etc. The members can sometimes enjoy meals provided by the
Ag Club. During holiday months the Ag Club has canned food drives to be given as donations
to families in the community.
