Interlibrary loan is the process of borrowing and/or lending items between libraries. Any JWCC student,
faculty, or staff may interlibrary loan items. Plan ahead! The In-Transit time could be two weeks or more.
There are two methods to interlibrary loan material. You may search the I-Share catalog. We refer to that
method as "patron initiated" interlibrary loan. The material will be shipped directly to JWCC for your
convenience.
You may also search our Library databases for periodical articles. If the article is not in full text format,
another option for interlibrary loan is OCLC (Online Computer Library Center). We will process your
request for you. We need your personal information such as name, phone number, e-mail, etc. We'll also
ask for a "needed by" date. We will require the title of the article, author's name, magazine/journal title, date
of publication, volume, issue, and page number. We will try to accommodate you, if possible.
OCLC is also an option for material other than articles. Please contact the library for assistance.
We will require information such as the title, author, year, edition, publisher, etc.
