Description
JWCC Library Citation Linker If you have the citation details for an article, you can use the Citation Linker to gain full text access to the article. At the very minimum, you should enter in the journal title, the volume number, the issue number, the start page, and the article title.
EBSCOhost Academic Search Complete Offers more than 6,100 full-text periodicals including 5,100 peer-reviewed journals. A list of all EBSCOhost databases is also available. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
Encyclopędia Britannica Online Academic Edition In addition to Encyclopędia Britannica's over 73,000 articles, this resource includes over 700 journals and magazines, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, World Data, and a selection of 225 classic works by 140 Western authors. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
Online Encyclopedias & Dictionaries List If you need an article from an encyclopedia other than Britannica, this is a great place to begin looking. Our list of online reference books available to JWCC affiliates includes twenty categories of encyclopedias and dictionaries.
OmniFile Full Text Select Includes full text articles from more than 1,600 publications indexed in a variety of Wilson databases that cover dozens of topics. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
LexisNexis Academic Provides access over 6,000 news, business, and legal sources. News coverage includes deep backfiles and recent stories from national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, and international news (On campus only)
OCLC WilsonSelectPlus WilsonSelectPlus offers full-text for over 1,500,000 periodical articles drawn from academic journals, professional publications, and trade magazines. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
American Mosaic Includes information and images that bring the American experience to life by describing the culture and history of African Americans, US Latinos, and Native Americans.
Pop Culture Universe Search or browse this scholarly collection of American pop culture and history information by decade, subject, people, or place.
NewsBank: America's Newspapers Search or browse this massive database of local, regional, and national US newspapers like the Chicago Tribune, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and New York Times. News magazines like Time, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, Popular Science, Money, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and People are also available for JWCC affiliates. We also provide access to other newspapers.
Google Scholar The full text of some articles that you find with Google Scholar can be downloaded from JWCC's databases. Simply click Scholar Preferences and type JWCC in the box next to the Find Library button. Next, click the button and then click the box next to the words John Wood Community College - Full Text @ JWCC after they appear. Finally, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Preferences to insure that you will see Full Text @ JWCC links whenever possible. If the full version of an article isn't available, click Article Services @ JWCC if you would like us to request it from another library.

General Science Full Text Offers full text articles with graphs, diagrams, and illustrations that cover topics such as Astronomy, Atmospheric Science, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Conservation, Earth Science, Environment, Food, Genetics, Health, Mathematics, Medicine, Microbiology, Nutrition, Oceanography, Physics, Physiology, and Zoology. Science Resource Center Includes a variety of science resources from Gale such as text books, magazines, journals, newspapers, and multimedia. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
PsycARTICLES Includes over 137,000 articles from 66 journals, 50 of which are published by the American Psychological Association. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
MEDLINE Includes full text for more than 1,450 journals indexed in MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine's database for medical and biology articles from prominent journals.
CINAHL Nursing Database Offers full text for over 600 journals included in CINAHL, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. (JWCC Affiliates Only)
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition Offers almost 550 full text journals that cover many medical disciplines. Also included is the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand name drugs.
Health Source: Consumer Edition Includes almost 80 full text, consumer health magazines with information on health topics such as the medical sciences, nutrition, childcare, sports medicine, and general health.
Scirus Scirus is a science-specific search engine that searches over 480 million scientific web pages and article databases.
Scientific Commons Allows visitors to search a combined collection of over 25 million free full text documents from 973 scientific databases.
National Science Digital Library: NSDL The NSDL includes a variety of quality content that is drawn from a variety of other digital libraries, National Science Foundation Projects, and NSDL-reviewed web sites.
HighWire Press - Free Online Full-text Articles With over 1.8 million free full text articles, HighWire Press is one of the largest archives of free full text science articles on the web. All of HighWire Press's free full text journals are included in John Wood Community College Library's list of Our Electronic Journals.
arXiv.org e-Print Archive arXiv.org is a highly automated database for full text research articles from disciplines such as physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, and statistics. The database includes preprints, drafts of articles that have not yet been published in peer-reviewed journals; they are important because of the need for cutting edge information in fields like physics.
Astrophysics Data System (ADS) The ADS is a digital library with over 7.4 millions records divided between three bibliographic databases that contain a a vast number of full text articles about Astronomy and Astrophyics, Physics, and arXiv e-Prints.
E-print Network Includes over 5 million e-prints from over 30,380 databases and web sites. The articles are primarily related to physics but also cover subject areas such as chemistry, biology and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and other topics of interest to the US Department of Energy.
Energy Citations Database (ECD) Provides access to over 2.3 million science research citations that are indexed by the US Department of Energy. Over 209,000 free articles are available via the database.

ERIC Contains over 1,243,000 records from the Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) and links to over 224,000 full text documents.
The Chronicle of Higher Education The Chronicle's web site includes news and information for college and university faculty members and administrators.
Adjunct Nation AdjunctNation.com is the official web page of Adjunct Advocate magazine and offers articles and resources for temporary faculty from around the world.
Professional Development Collection This database for professional educators offers 520 education journals including over 350 peer-reviewed titles. The database also provides 200 educational reports.
Teacher Reference Center Offers indexing and abstracts for more than 270 teacher and administrator journals and magazines for professional educators
MAS Ultra - School Edition This database contains full text for more than 500 magazines related to high school education. The database includes more than 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and a collection of 341,655 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs, and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.
Primary Search Offers full text for more than 70 magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator.

Military & Government Collection Provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals related to all branches of the military and government. Indexing and abstracts are available for nearly 400 titles.
Politico Politico was started by former Washington Post reporters as a way to create fresh new ways of writing political articles.
RealClearPolitics.com Every day, the editors of RealClearPolitics.com collect and publish political commentary, news, polling data, and links to important political articles.
Foreign Affairs The Council on Foreign Relations has published Foreign Affairs, perhaps the most influential American publication on international affairs and foreign policy, since 1922.
ProCon.org ProCon.org is a nonprofit public charity that provides background information on controversial topics in addition to arguments in favor and against answers to controversial questions. In some cases, links to articles with additional information are provided. Many of the topics are related to law and government.
FactCheck.org FactCheck.org is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocate for voters that seeks to improve public understanding of issues by checking the facts about claims made by politicians.
Mother Jones Mother Jones is a nonprofit news organization that specializes in investigative, political, and social justice reporting. Mother Jones makes all of the content from its print magazine available online.

BusinessWeek BusinessWeek.com is a respected provider of global business news and information. The JWCC Library also has print copies of BusinessWeek available .
Inc. Inc. Magazine offers several articles on their web site for entrepreneurs and other business people. The JWCC Library also has print copies of Inc. available.
Yahoo Business News Yahoo draws business new stories from multiple sources such as the AP, BusinessWeek, and a variety of newspapers.
HarvardBusiness.org This web site offers business news, resources, articles, case studies, and more.
Regional Business News Offers full text coverage for 75 business journals, newspapers, and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis.
Business Source Elite Provides full text for nearly 1,100 business publications.
Communication & Mass Media Complete Full text is provided for 350 journals that are related to communication, mass media, and related topics.
Bloomberg.com Bloomberg.com is home to business and financial news articles, personal finance articles, videos, radio shows, market reports, and a variety of other news reports.
CNN Money CNN Money offers business and financial news, articles, stock reports, and more.
Wall Street Journal ProQuest's Wall Street Journal database includes full text coverage dating back to January 2, 1984 that can be searched or browsed. (On campus only, please access WSJ.com if you are off campus.)
Reuters Business & Financial News Reuters offer news about markets, deals, small businesses, green businesses, industries, stocks, currencies, and more.
