The John Wood Community College Concert Choir will appear in concert at Christ Lutheran Church, 333 South 36th Street, Quincy, Sunday, April 13, at 7 p.m. The program is open to the public free of charge, but donations will be accepted.
Groups Also Performing at Three Local High Schools
The John Wood Community College Music Department will present its Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 22, at 7 p.m., in the Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium of the Paul Heath Community Education and Fine Arts Center, 48th & Harrison, Quincy. The event is open to the public. Admission is $3.00 for adults, payable at the door. Students will be admitted free of charge.
The JWCC chapter of Music Educators National Conference (MENC) is sponsoring a presentation on careers in the music business field by Hank Bordowitz, program coordinator and assistant professor in the music business program at Western Illinois University. The lecture is scheduled Friday, November 30, at 1:00 p.m., in Room D029 of the Heath Center, 48th and Harrison, Quincy. It is free and open to the public.
Area residents wanting to take a trip back in time to Mayberry, North Carolina, in the 1960’s can enjoy the nostalgia but not leave town when the JWCC Music Department presents “Christmas in Mayberry,” December 8 and December 9 in Quincy.
