Associate in Applied Science
64 Semester Hours
This curriculum prepares students for careers in the ornamental horticulture industry. The program offers a diversification of study in the areas of landscaping, greenhouse production, nursery production, and turf management. Employment opportunities open to graduates are landscape design, installation, and management; golf course and lawn care; greenhouses; garden centers; production nurseries; orchards; parks and recreation; and there are developing opportunities in agribusiness related to horticulture crops. The program emphasizes “hands-on” learning experiences.
NOTE: Only students who do not need additional coursework and who take the number of credits or courses as listed each semester can complete the program in the time given. Others will take longer to complete.
