Swine Management
Associate in Applied Science
64 Semester Hours
The swine management program is designed to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the pork production industry. Special emphasis is placed on practical hands-on training and working with swine in real life situations with the JWCC swine teaching herd. First year emphasis is on pork production skills and experience, with the second year focusing on personnel management skills and experience.
NOTE: Only students who do not need additional coursework and who take the number of credits or courses as listed each semester can complete the program in the time given. Others will take longer to complete.
