Health Sciences

John Wood Community College offers two nursing programs:

• The practical nursing program (LPN) prepares students for the licensure examination for practical nurses.
• The associate degree nursing (ADN) program prepares students for the licensure examination for registered nurses.

As well as two other Associate in Applied Science degrees:

• The Paramedic program prepares the graduate to provide initial patient assessment and management of care from the pre-hospital setting to the emergency or hospital care environment.
• The Radiologic Technology program prepares the student to perform a variety of functions in radiology departments of hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities.

ALL required courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher to complete the programs.
