Truck driver training is a high-cost education program due to the cost involved in purchasing and maintaining the equipment and supplies, including fuel, insurance, and employing qualified instructors. The cost to the student is 16 credits times the appropriate tuition, plus $2,150 for fees (in 2005-2006) and approximately $66 for textbooks. The student cost for the program is very competitive with other regional truck driver training programs. Possible financial assistance may be available through Federal Pell grants, ISAC MAP grants, and Federal Stafford Loans as well as bank loans, local scholarships, and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

For more information on the program, see the Truck Driver Training Website.
