Enrollment

JWCC experienced record enrollment growth in the five-year period ending in 2005, when credit enrollment reached 2,792 students (22 percent higher than in 2001). Since then, enrollment has remained relatively steady.

In fall 2007, approximately 2,700 students were enrolled in 25,000 credit hours. Fifty-one percent of the students were attending part time, and the average age of a credit student was 27. Eighty-seven percent of these students were from the JWCC District. Minority enrollment, at approximately five percent, generally mirrors the population of the District.

In addition, the community education/noncredit programs draw more than 5,400 persons each year.
