Course and Transfer Information

Each course is worth three college credits and will be taught by qualified instructor.

All courses which are part of Smart Start may be used to satisfy general education requirements at JWCC.  These credits transfer to colleges and universities nationwide.  If a student plans to attend a college other than JWCC after graduation, it is recommended that he or she discuss the transfer of courses to the student’s chosen institution with a JWCC advisor (advising@jwcc.edu).  Information on credit transfer to colleges and universities in Illinois is available at www.iTransfer.org.

It is the student’s responsibility to check the transferability of each course taken.  JWCC advisors can assist in this process.

Once coursework is completed, students should contact the Registrar’s Office at JWCC to have an official copy of their transcript sent to the selected college.  No fee is charged for transcripts.
