What is the JWCC High School/College Dual Credit Program?
It's a program that allows high school students to earn grades and credit from both high school and JWCC (dual credit) following successful completion of a college-level course. Both future college enrollment options and current high school academic standing will be impacted by dual credit grades.
Dual Credit Courses . . .
- are offered at high schools in the JWCC District. The classes are taught by JWCC faculty or JWCC-qualified high school instructors.
- can be transfer course and/or vocational courses. Available dual credit courses vary from high school to high school.
- increase the range of course options in high school. The courses can also smooth the transition to college or vocational school.
- shorten the path to a degree or a career. Students can fulfill some high school and college requirements concurrently.
How do I enroll?
- Receive permission from your high school to enroll in the JWCC High School/College Dual Credit Program.
- Complete the registration process.
- Satisfy the tuition requirements.
- In order to withdraw from a JWCC course, you must officially drop the course during the withdrawal period established by the JWCC Registrar's Office, or you will receive a failing grade.
