Megan Mast, Liberty High School.
Megan was valedictorian of her class. A degree in business is one of
Megan's immediate goals. She has already begun her studies at John Wood
Community College. Megan was involved in many different activities at
Liberty High School, but credits FFA for developing her leadership skills. |

Matt
Helmer, Quincy High School.
Matt is a multi-faceted graduate whose goals include a career as a
physicist and studying abroad where he can learn about a different culture
and implement his seven years of Spanish classes. Matt graduated second in
his class of 455. In high school, he was involved in many activities
including Scholastic Bowl; Debate and Spanish Clubs; Marching Band,
Student Council, and National Honor Society. Northwestern University is
the college Matt has chosen to attend this fall. |

Patricia
Webster, Quincy High School.
Patricia will enter Western Illinois University this fall majoring in
pre-med. Her interest in medicine has been enhanced in part because of her
experiences in the Blessing Hospital Youth Corps and (HOSA) Health
Occupations Students of America. Patricia credits serving as an officer in
HOSA with helping her strengthen her teamwork, critical thinking, and
creative problem- solving skills. Her experiences at QHS included National
Honor Society, Student Council, and National Vocational Technical Honor
Society. |

Ashlee
Vance, Unity High School.
Ashlee will also attend JWCC this fall with the goal of eventually earning
a Ph.D. in psychology. The oldest of nine children, Ashlee credits her
church youth group and youth pastor for guiding and encouraging her. Their
support and the ETS Scholarship can do nothing but help Ashlee move ahead
in this new arena. |
