Fundint Education Beyond High School: The Guide to Federal Student Aid. Information about Federal programs is available in the guide Funding Education Beyond High School: The Guide to Federal Student Aid.  You may also telephone the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID/TDD 1-800-730-8913 between the hours of  7 a.m. and 7 p.m. CST from Monday through Friday.

The Internal Revenue Service's Student Section Beginning January 1, 1998, taxpayers may be eligible to claim the Hope Scholarship Credit against their federal income taxes. The Hope Scholarship Credit may be claimed for the qualified tuition and related expenses of each student in the taxpayer’s family who is enrolled at least half-time in one of the first two years of postsecondary education and who is enrolled in a program leading to an associate degree or certificate.

Hope Scholarship

NASFAA.org You may qualify for a tax credit up to $1,500 for up to two years while you pursue your certificate or degree from John Wood Community College.
