Applying for Graduation and Program Completion Evaluation

There are two aspects to "graduation":

1) Evaluating your degree/certificate progress

and posting of the completion of programs to transcripts

2) Participating in Spring ceremonies

Evaluating your progress:

When you have completed at least half of your program, you should submit a "Request for Program Completion Evaluation and Graduation ". Submitting this request prior to or during registration for your final term will provide you with an early evaluation and help you to meet all graduation requirements. Meeting graduation requirements is ultimately your responsibility.

1. Complete a "program planning sheet" with your advisor.

2. Obtain a request form from your advisor or the Enrollment Service Center.

3. Submit the request form and planning sheet to the Enrollment Service Center.  (There is no application fee).

4. A copy of the evaluation "grad check" will be sent to you listing what you need  to do to finish your program.

5. Clear any debts or holds that you may have with the college.

6. When your program is complete, your degree or certificate will be posted to your transcript.

Graduation Ceremonies and Diplomas:

1. You must have applied for graduation. All those who have applied and who  are near completing the requirements will receive a letter of invitation to participate in ceremonies and/or order diplomas sometime in February.

2. Return the form indicating your preferences.

A. If you want to participate in ceremonies, return the order form for rental of your cap and gown along with the $25 fee.

B. If you want to order a diploma, return the order form along with the $25 fee.

C. If you do not want to participate or order a diploma, you need not respond.

3. At ceremonies, you will receive a diploma cover. Diplomas are mailed out after it is confirmed that all requirements have been met. Degrees and certificates are posted to the academic transcript as soon as it is determined that all requirements are met.
