Who is eligible to receive support?
All Perkins Grant recipients must be enrolled in one of the career and programs at John Wood Community College. (Please see Target Careers).
Within the above programs, eligible students include individuals individuals with disabilities, individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including foster children; individuals preparing for nontraditional training and employment (male in a female-dominated program or vice versa); single parents, including single pregnant women; displaced homemakers and individuals with other barriers to educational achievement, including individuals with limited English proficiency.
How do I apply for assistance?
The first step in getting assistance is to fill out an intake information form in Support Services. If you need help in filling out the form, just ask us. Once the paperwork is complete and your eligibility is determined, you can start receiving services.
