What Support Services are available?

The support services funded by the Perkins program are handled by the Perkins Special Populations Coordinator, Robin Martin.  Depending on the student’s needs possible services may include the following:

Academic Assistance -- in the form of academic advising, open learning labs (Math Lab, Writing Lab, Science Specialist Lab, Accounting Specialist Lab, and Computer Specialist Lab), individual tutoring, and disability assistance such as notetaking or interpreting are available.

Financial Assistance -- such as tuition, lab fees, book loans, program supplies, and uniforms.nbsp; For students with a demonstrated financial need, child care and transportation reimbursements.

Referrals to other college and/or community services -- counseling, academic advising, career planning, disability services, financial aid, and many others.

What does Perkins Grant assistance cost?

The Perkins Grant is a federally funded program.  Therefore it is FREE to the student.
