Academic Support
Learning assistance is available during open lab sessions throughout the week. Specialists in writing, math, science, accounting, and computer science can help any JWCC student on a drop-in basis, FREE of charge. Labs are located in the Open Learning Center section of the Academic Support Center, Building B.
Each semester Support Services offers study skills workshops intended to improve general study habits.
The Coordinator of Academic Support and the Academic Support Assistant work together to assess each student's need for assistance and to arrange individual tutoring when appropriate. FREE individual tutoring is available to any JWCC student who is earning a D or F in the class or has previously earned a D or F in that class. Need this type of help?
