ACT WORKKEYS TEST FOR PARAEDUCATORS
The State Board of Education has endorsed four assessment options for establishing a candidate’s qualifications as a paraprofessional educator under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). One of the options includes the ACT WorkKeys test of Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Writing, and the ACT Instructional Support Inventory with minimum scores as follows:
Applied Mathematics - 4; Reading for Information - 4; Writing - 3 (proctored by JWCC); Instructional Support Inventory - 150 (completed by a supervisor or member of personnel)
In order to assist you in filling these requirements, JWCC—being an ACT Certified Center—is offering the following ACT WorkKeys testing date:
Monday, April 22
(4 - 7 PM; registrations and payments due April 4)
Writing test re-takes scheduled for April 23 at 4:00 PM.
Requirements to hold test: minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 participants!
Cost for entire exam is $75.00.
The tests will be held at JWCC's Workforce Development Center, 4220 Kochs Lane, in Quincy.
Drop/Cancellation Policy
Due to an increase in the number of last minute cancellations and registered participants failing to show up for the exam, the following drop/cancellation policy will be enforced. Participants must register and pay for the WorkKeys exam by the registration deadline date. No refunds will be issued for any reason after the deadline date.
A study packet is available upon registration.
