Careers and Employment
Scientists study all aspects of living organisms, emphasizing the relationship of animals and plants to their environment. Many scientists enter the field of research and development, while others teach in college or university settings.

Students transferring to a four year institution may specialize further in any one of the following areas: anatomical sciences, bioengineering, biology, biophysics, botany, ecology, ethology and evolution, genetics and developmental biology, microbiology, physiology or zoology.
