About the Program
The Professional CNA program provides a broader knowledge base in communication and medical terminology. These skills enhance communication with various professional members of the healthcare team the certified nursing assistant will work with on a daily basis. Additional material in customer service prepares the student to meet and exceed the expectations of both the internal and external customers of the healthcare facilities employing certified nursing assistants.
Advanced skills in the field of rehabilitation, physical therapy, and restorative nursing provides the student with an in-depth understanding of the goals necessary to enhance the quality of life to an aging population in various healthcare settings. The above curriculum with the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum completes a 16 credit hour Professional Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate.
