About the Program
Students now have two welding certificates to choose from. Each welding certificate is designed to train individuals in the skills needed to gain employment as a welder. The skills included are reading and interpreting welding symbols and blueprints, basic MIG and TIG welding, commercial welding practices, and principles of welding safety. All courses in the welding program are held at the JWCC Workforce Development Center, located at 4220 Kochs Lane in Quincy. Knapheide Manufacturing provided twelve welding stations and also served as a consulting resource for the program.
Please Note: Welders should have good vision at 12 to 18 inches in order to properly weld.
