JWCC Office for Business and Industry Programs is partnering with BDI DataLynk to offer Fiber Optics Network Certification Courses. This program is divided into three individual courses that teach the necessary skills to build, test, troubleshoot, install and repair fiber optic networks and prepares the student to take the CFOT (Certified Fiber Optics Technician) exam, the CFOS/T (Certified Fiber Optics Testing & Maintenance Specialist) exam, and the CFOS/S (Certified Fiber Optics Splicing Specialist) exam.

A well trained Fiber Optics Technician is in demand in today's job market! A fiber optics technician maintains fiber optic cable systems that carry both voice and digital transmissions. Fiber optics technicians are persons in charge of working with optical fibers and cables which are used in sending and receiving communications data. They splice and fuse fibers and install cables beneath the ground and in the different parts of building structures.

Who Should Attend:
Anyone interested in learning basic fiber optic networking and becoming a Certified Fiber Optics Technician is encouraged to attend. Additionally, the courses assume a basic working knowledge of computers, the ability to see and identify small items, and the ability to speak and understand the English language. The (CFOT) course is a prerequisite course required before taking any of the Advanced Specialist Fiber Optic Training Courses.

The price of each of the three trainings is $730 per person. For a complete schedule of courses and registration details, click here.
