John Wood Community College is searching for degreed professionals who are interested in becoming part-time instructors.  We need a number of instructors in a broad array of subject areas, both day and evening hours.  To teach in one of our many transfer programs, you must have a master degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject matter.  Credentials required to teach in one of our workforce programs vary.

Our ideal candidates demonstrate leadership ability, strong critical thinking skills and a record of outstanding achievement in past endeavors, whether in academics, extracurricular activities, or work experience.  We’re searching for individuals who reflect thoughtfully on past experiences, maintain a sense of perspective in the face of challenges, operate with a positive attitude and a sense of realism, and demonstrate self-awareness and sensitivity to others. If you possess these characteristics, we hope you’ll want to bring these traits into the classroom.

Your questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome and may be directed to or by contacting our office at (217) 641-4242.
