Apply for Work Study

Federal Work-Study eligibility is determined from the FAFSA results and is awarded through the Office of Financial Aid. Students who participate generally work around 10 hours per week and are paid every two weeks.  International students do not qualify for work-study.  For other student worker options, contact the Human Resources Office at 217.641.4246.

To complete the work-study process,

  1. View job postings (below)
  2. Complete the Federal Work-Study application

What should I expect and/or do after completing the application?

Financial Aid will begin processing your eligibility as soon as possible. Once determined, an email from Financial Aid will be sent regardless of your eligibility.

Once JWCC begins awarding Federal Work-Study for the academic year (soon after July 1), we will follow a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the limited amount of funding, the number of students who are approved will vary.
