Federal Work-Study (FWS)
Federal Work-Study eligibility is determined from the FAFSA results and is awarded through the Office of Financial Aid. The Job Application process is coordinated through the Office of Human Resources. Students who participate generally work from 10-20 hours per week and are paid every two weeks.
To start the process, students must complete the Federal Work-Study application.
What should I expect and/or do after completing the application?
You will be receiving an acknowledgement email from Human Resources after submitting your application.
Financial Aid will begin processing your eligibility as soon as possible. Once determined, an email from Financial Aid will be sent regardless of your eligibility.
Once JWCC begins awarding Federal Work-Study for the academic year (soon after July 1), we will follow a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the limited amount of funding, the number of students who are approved will vary.
