Federal Work-Study (FWS)
FWS eligibility is determined from the FAFSA results and is awarded through the Office of Financial Aid. The Job Application process is coordinated through the Office of Human Resources. Students who participate generally work from 10-20 hours per week and are paid every two weeks.
*No Summer 2015 FWS funds are available. Next availability begins Fall 2015*
Step 1: Eligibility Application
Step 2: Job Application
- What should I expect and/or do after completing both steps?
- Once JWCC begins awarding FWS for the academic year (soon after July 1), we will follow a first come-first served basis. The funds are limited and the number of students who may be approved will vary. If approved, the student will be contacted through their JWCC email with information regarding the next step in the FWS process. Students who are eligible but cannot be approved yet will be placed on a waiting list until we are able to approve additional students. If the student is not eligible due to the FAFSA results, he or she will be notified as well.
