Instructor for Nursing and Health Sciences




This position is primarily responsible for teaching in the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. The ADN program prepares students to become professional, caring, and competent nurses. The curriculum for this program is career-oriented and approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Teaching responsibilities will include providing instruction in classroom, skills lab and clinical settings while evaluating student progress in reaching student learning outcomes. Requires a willingness to be involved in scholarship activities including committee membership, curriculum review, and participation in systematic planning for program evaluation.


Requires a Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN). This position requires excellent leadership, time management, communication, and collaboration skills; three years of clinical nursing experience. Previous teaching experience is preferred. This instructor must be licensed as Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Illinois, or obtain an Illinois license prior to the start of the semester.
