HEAD WOMEN'S SOFTBALL COACH
This is a part-time stipend position that reports to the Director of Athletics. This position is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois and requires travel. The one-year, renewable position begins upon hire.
John Wood Community College is home to eight intercollegiate athletic programs, three men’s, four women’s teams and one co-ed team that compete in Region 24 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC). Since the inaugural season in the fall of 1992, the Athletic Department has produced several athletic and athletic All-Americans, trips to national tournaments, and numerous scholarships for our student-athletes to four-year colleges/universities. Our programs take pride in our commitment to academics while producing quality people that succeed in all areas of life.
John Wood Community College is seeking applicants for the position of Head Women’s Softball Coach. Applicants should possess knowledge of softball strategy and a strong ability to teach and communicate this knowledge. Other mandated duties include but are not limited to; recruitment of student-athletes, classroom/academic management, NJCAA regulations, field work and preparation, statistical management, in-season/off-season training, public relations, and fundraising.
Bachelor’s degree with previous coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
