Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Operation Support Admin is directly responsible for accurately recording day to day financial transactions of the Bank, and for providing daily operational support and customer service assistance to inquiries and concerns regarding customer account(s). The Operation Support Admin reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processes ACH Returns and NOCs
  • Works closely with banks staff and customers to manage and respond to ACH questions and issues
  • Generates ICS/CDARS customer statements monthly for mailing
  • Balances the Depreciation, Accruals, Prepaids, and CDARs
  • Reviews the loan payment account; and troubleshoots & resolves issues if out of balance
  • Performs as a back-up to typing the General Ledger descriptions based on tickets received from previous day
  • Reviews, monitors, and updates ACHs; determines if any need to be stopped
  • Assists accounts payable processing by posting & printing checks
  • Processes and confirms wires; prepares appropriate tickets for wires and assures they are logged for next day verification
  • Assists the Debit Card and e-Services Departments as needed; and performs as a Back-Up to  the Deposit Operation Specialist
  • Folds/Stuff/Mail Home Equity Statements Monthly
  • Balances the Shazam account(s) daily
  • Processes customer address changes; and conducts maintenance on customer checking & savings accounts
  • Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION &/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent; A minimum of 1 year experience in bookkeeping, customer service, help desk, and/or an operations function is required – preferably in a Bank environment
MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit/stand/kneel/bend/for extended periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs on occasion, ability to work under high pressure while remaining composed; the ability to utilize a computer & keyboard 80% of the time, possess a high level of accuracy, and have the ability to meet deadlines
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge in banking is helpful, as is bank bookkeeping and/or accounting techniques and procedures. Proficiency with standard office equipment, Microsoft Office products, attention to detail, time management, ability to prioritize, organize, and problem solving are required.
