Job Description

The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting with first level support of service requests. This relates to all technology including workstations, servers, printers, networks, phone, mobile devices, vendor specific hardware/software, and backup and recovery processes. The Junior Systems Administrator will also provide support to other IT team members as needed.


  • Provides day to day computer system support and administration
  • Assists with user account management
  • Performs application upgrades as needed
  • Assists with the configuration, implementation, and asset documentation of IT hardware
  • Provides end user technical support and training on hardware and software systems
  • Performs supervised maintenance of Windows Servers
  • Creates, maintains, and updates documentation for IT processes and application updates
  • Performs other duties as assigned


An associate degree in computer science, information science, or network engineering with a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting information technology solutions within a corporate environment.  Applicable certifications may be considered as replacement to degree.  Experience with Windows operating system, VmWare, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP, Basic scripting knowledge

General understanding of networking to include local and wide area communications preferred.


Ability to sit/stand/kneel/bend/for extended periods of time, developed interpersonal abilities, ability to work under high pressure and remain composed, strong communication skills – both oral and written, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion, attention to detail is critical, organization, prioritization, ability to work independently and time management skills.


Problem solving/reasoning/analysis, technical skills, analysis and interpretation of complex data process systems, Windows server/desktop operating systems, remote desktop knowledge, and general troubleshooting of network communication.
