Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Dean of Records, Registrar, and Financial Aid and is located at the main campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

The Coordinator of Financial Aid will work in conjunction with the Dean to advance the ongoing operations of the Financial Aid Office while supporting the student-centered services process. Responsibilities include providing quality customer service to current and prospective students and their families seeking information about financial aid; serving as the primary account coordinator for multiple different funding sources; performing regular reconciliation for funding sources; serving as a lead in providing technical support to the Financial Aid Office; working with IT to provide upgrades to primary systems; establishing workflows and document management; assisting with federal and state audit compliance; and reviewing financial aid processes that impact JWCC’s eligibility of federal Title IV and state funding resources.



A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or technology preferred with 3-5 years of related experience recommended. Other recommendations include strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills; knowledge of federal/state compliance; confidentiality; and the ability to multi-task and work independently.
