This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Director of Advancement and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins July 2021.
This position is responsible for researching and identifying new grant opportunities; reviewing funding opportunities and providing input to senior leadership; planning and preparing proposals for multiple departments; and providing guidance in the interpretation of funding agency regulations. Other duties include serving as liaison with granting agencies; preparing all components of grant submissions; developing and maintaining databases; and providing guidance on grant funding policies, regulations, and procedures.
A bachelor’s degree and three to five years of successful experience in researching and submitting winning proposals is preferred. Must have excellent analytical and writing skills, be proficient in research, be able to interpret and analyze diverse data, and be able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve goals. Strong communication, interpersonal, and representation skills, along with excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
