About the company:

Cerro Flow is a manufacturer of copper tubing and fittings for the HVAC/Refrigeration industry. RLS LLC is an innovative rapid locking system fitting for HVAC applications. Cerro has been in operation since 1908, and strives to utilize strategies to keep our manufacturing sites innovative. Our IT department manages multiple datacenters and aims to provide an environment for IT workers of all levels to learn and grow.

About the role:

This is an entry level position assisting our IT department with maintaining computer software and hardware, while providing help desk support and training to our users.  This will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connections on desktops, laptops, and printers.  The intern will assist with maintaining asset management. During your internship you will be introduced to datacenter support, server hardware virtualization, Azure cloud-based computing, MS 365 admin center, SD-WAN, as well as several other training opportunities. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and support user requests
  • Connect new hardware devices to the network, install operating system and new software
  • Create and remove user access
  • Support various computer hardware and software
  • Identify and ticket critical system issues with our Zendesk ticketing system
  • Inventory network devices, hardware, and software
  • Mapping file structures and migrating files to new file share server
  • Install network printers, setup printer and file shares

Applicant qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of networking basics
  • Customer service experience.
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Recent graduate or undergraduate Information Technology or related field
  • Candidates with an A+ certification in hardware software support preferred
