Job Description

The IT Help Desk I is responsible for providing customer service support by quickly and efficiently responding to the computer-related needs of our sales team and staff. This position also supports the Systems Administrator with the general function and operation of IT-related networks and equipment. This position reports to the Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter and problem solver; with a focus on accuracy and understanding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the assigned IT/communications in a Mac and Windows environment
  • Coordinates, installs, and continuously analyzes system design, hardware, and software
  • Recommends, and installs solutions and upgrades to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of all components of the assigned systems
  • Serves as a focal point for ensuring functionality and operability of the assigned IT/communications system environment
  • Optimizes the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems
  • Provides ongoing technical support to office staff and field agents to ensure proper functional use of equipment and programs
  • Train corporate staff and agents
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operation system
  • Maintain an IT Inventory
  • Implement and train staff regarding new software
  • Maintain telephone system
  • Actively participate in the new agent orientations
  • Actively participate at the annual agents meeting

Requirements

  • Computer hardware and software systems and programs
  • Computer networks, network administration and installation
  • Computer trouble shooting
  • Email and internet programs
  • Two years of experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization
  • Familiarity with MS Office and other common applications for both Mac and Windows
  • Working knowledge of iPad, iPhone, and Android devices
  • This is not a remote position, therefore the ideal candidate must live within commuting distance of our corporate office
  • Experience with network and mass storage solutions is preferred
