This is a part-time 12-month position that provides support and instruction in the Department of Health Sciences. The position will report to the Administrative Chair of Health Sciences. 

This position is responsible for all aspects of the surgical technology program, including the organization, administration, continuous assessment, planning, development and general effectiveness of the program.  This position serves as the program director of the JWCC/BRCN Consortium Surgical Technology Program, as accredited by the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

Requires credentials of Certified Surgical Technology and a minimum of five years of current operating room experience in the scrub role and/or five years of current experience as an instructor in surgical technology.  Current operating room experience is defined as a minimum of five of the last ten years spent as a practicing surgical technologist and/or instructor in surgical technology. Associate Degree required.
