This is a part-time position that reports to the Manager of Accounting Services and is located on the JWCC Campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position is not benefit eligible. 

This position is responsible for assisting with the processing of both Accounts Payable and Payroll in the Fiscal Services Department. The functions of both jobs require the use of our Banner Ellucian software system.  The Accounts Payable functions include but are not limited to; calculation and accuracy of amount due, processing bills for payment, completing weekly check runs, uploading data files to the bank, and maintain files with AP documentation. The Payroll functions include but are not limited to; review of time sheets including PTO and earn codes, processing requests for payment, maintain accuracy of data, and filing payroll reports with the appropriate agencies. Part-time positions may work up to 28 hours per week. Hours are flexible depending on the needs of the college.

Associate degree in a related field or equivalent education recommended. Two years of accounts payable and/or payroll experience preferred.  Must pay attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, troubleshoot problems, work within deadlines with accuracy, organize and prioritize work, display customer services skills, and work in a team environment. Experience with an accounting software system, Microsoft programs, and desk calculator is a plus.
