This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, grant-funded position that reports to the Director of Support Services and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

The supervisor is responsible for the supervision and daily operations of the TRIO Upward Bound (UB) program, ensuring required and permissible services are delivered to participants. Responsibilities include coordinating and monitoring the necessary college and community resources for each student as he/she progresses through high school into postsecondary education; fostering collaborative relationships with student participants, their parents, target schoolteachers and staff, other TRIO programs and/or programs that support the target population, campus/community resources and JWCC administrators; and the planning and execution of the UB residential summer program.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in counseling, education, social work or related field and three years of related experience. Previous experience with TRIO programs is preferred.  Other requirements include; excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills; the ability to relate well to a diverse student population; the ability to work with little supervision; be able to manage a team environment effectively; and have a current driver’s license.
