We are looking forward to an exciting summer of JDub Academy classes at John Wood Community College! This unique program offers children hands-on academic and enrichment workshops on a college campus. All courses are designed to teach new and meaningful skills and excite students about learning.
We are currently accepting course proposals from instructors who might be interested in teaching one, two or all three weeks. Classes for this program will run for three weeks in June:
June 7 – 11
June 14 – 18
June 21 – 25
Each class runs Monday-Friday and time slots are 8-9:50 AM and/or 10-11:50 AM. We offer classes for grades K-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12. (These are suggested categories, but we are open to other age groupings.) Most of our classes are held on JWCC’s main campus in Quincy, but we also offer classes at our Mt. Sterling Education Center and Southeast Education Center in Pittsfield.
Classes that have been offered in the past include Healthy Chefs, I Can Bake and Decorate, Everyday Art, Basic Healthy Puppy Class, Dive Into German, Fun with Geometry, Outdoor Adventures at Gardner Camp, Claymation Camp and Fairy Tales Re-Written, among others.
