Associate Clinical Nursing Instructors are part time positions, assigned to clinical sections running in both 8- and 16-week sessions. This position will report to the Director of Allied Health and Emergency Services and is located in Quincy, Illinois. Associate Faculty positions are non-tenure track faculty serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis. Associate Faculty appointments are available in Fall and Spring semesters.
This position is responsible for teaching in the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. The ADN program prepares students to become professional, caring, and competent nurses. The curriculum for this program is career-oriented and approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Teaching responsibilities may include providing instruction in classroom, skills lab and/or clinical settings while evaluating student progress in reaching student learning outcomes.
Requires a Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN) and two years of clinical nursing experience. This position requires leadership, time management, communication, and collaboration skills. Previous teaching experience is preferred. This instructor must be licensed as Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Illinois or must obtain an Illinois license prior to the start of the semester.
